My adventures running in Boston, searching for that runner's chai.

A Recap of 2014

Wow. 2014 flew by. 2014 saw my first Ragnar Race. Our triumphant return to Somerville. My first sprained ankle. Eight half marathons. A full year without a gym membership.  An amazing trip to Switzerland and Italy. A half marathon personal record. And most importantly, my acceptance onto a team for the 2015 Boston Marathon.

Here’s a recap of my year, through my favorite blog post of each month:

January 2014 : I visited my mom in L.A. and ran the Citrus Heritage Half Marathon.

It was really too bad that I had to wear a reflective vest over my cute orange outfit.

February 2014 : I traveled to Phoenix and ran the Ragnar Relay Del Sol with some amazing friends.

March 2014 : I ran the Tobacco Road Half Marathon with Sarah (her first one!)

April 2014 : I ran 13 miles of the One Run for Boston.

May 2014 : I made a list of 28 things to do while 28 years old.

June 2014 : I practiced for the Boston Marathon by running the Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon.

July 2014 : I had a blast running the stairs of Harvard Stadium with the November Project.

I still believe every workout should include a mini pig.

August 2014 : We went to Switzerland!

Sepember 2014 : I was accepted onto the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Boston Marathon team.

October 2014 : I got a PR at the Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon.

November 2014 : At the end of October I sprained my ankle and didn’t run until the end of November.

December 2014 : Boston Marathon training began and I realized that I’m not allowed to bake.

2014 was an amazing year and I’m so thankful for the love and support of my friends and family! I can’t wait to see what 2015 will bring! Happy New Year everyone!
